Clicker Training Courses 2008
7pm May 29th to 5pm May 31st Introductory course
June 1st to 3rd Follow on course
If you want to have a horse who is light, responsive, and wants to work for you, clicker training is an excellent way of achieving it. Oakfield Farm are pleased to offer an opportunity to come and have some lessons from a master of the subject.
Alexandra Kurland is visiting Oakfield Farm at the end of May and is teaching two courses here this year, an "introduction to the clicker" course and a 3 day follow on course. Alex was a pioneer of Clicker Training in horses and has combined it with a lot of John Lyons work. She has also incorporated a lot of the body balance and control work of James Shaw which is derived from Tai Chi. It's well worth looking at Alex's web site as there are lots of case histories etc there as well as information on her range of books and DVDs.
Cherrie and myself have been working with Alex for 3 years now and our understanding of the teaching and learning process in horses is coming on in leaps and bounds.
I will post some more details here soon but in the mean time I have linked in the course information and the prices/booking form here. There are places left but it is filling rapidly.
