Ysta from Buckland, Born 1998 SOLD
Ysta came to live at Oakfield in 2001 and we bought him in spring 2002. He has just started his training and is coming on well showing both tölt and trot as soon as he was backed. He is being trained with Natural Horsemanship methods and is responding well to them. He should make a super leisure horse and is for sale. SOLD
Update Feb 2004 The initial pictures were taken when he was first backed in January 2003. He was turned away after this onto the convervation grazing project and allowed to be a horse for the rest of the year. We brought back to the farm in February 2004 and put a saddle on and hopped on and he was going better than when we turned him away.
The break had done him a lot of good and he has grown up physically and mentally. We hacked him out in company from Oakfield for the first time and he went like a dream. He is now ready to bring on and will make a very nice leisure horse with bags of tölt and a nice character.
